🌞 Searching for Sol: Acknowledging Country, Giving Back and Walking Together

As a proud Wiradjuri woman and the founder of Searching for Sol, I stand today and every day in deep respect and solidarity with First Nations Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the Original and Traditional Custodians of this sacred land we now call Australia.

I honour the stories, cultures, and connections to Country that have existed for tens of thousands of years and continue to this day.

At Searching for Sol, I’m committed to walking gently and respectfully on Country, weaving cultural awareness, care for the land, and a love of nature into every part of this journey 🌊

I’m raising my children to carry this same respect and love for Country—teaching them so they can teach future generations, continuing a legacy of honouring and protecting this land.

Their connection to the earth, salt, sand, sea, and sky is part of our story. I hope it will always guide them forward.

I encourage our community to support, listen, learn from, and buy from First Nations people, brands, artists, and businesses—not just on a particular day or month, but always.

This is why I’ve created a growing directory of incredible First Nations voices, businesses, creators, artists, resources, and organisations.
